The Orlando Swing Band - 4th Wednesdays at Beardall
Next Dance: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - 7:30 to 10pm
On the 4th Wednesday of every month, the Orlando Swing Band plays at the Beardall Center (official site).
The band is a full size, community based, swing orchestra that plays a mix of big band music from Glenn Miller to Count Basie.
The Beardall Center is a historic school building, built in the 1920s, and is located in Downtown Orlando. It has a large
parquet wood floor that is smooth and great for dancing. It is owned and operated by the City of Orlando's Families, Parks
and Recreation division. While it is labeled as a "senior center" it's key to keep in mind that it is actually a recreation
center and the 4th Wednesday dances welcome all ages.
